Today, the new HMT Dump Creator v1.1 is out, and this update brings some serious improvements for anyone who deals with firmware repair, dead devices, and dump creation. I’ve been testing it since the beta phase, and this version feels more polished and much faster compared to the old build.

What’s actually new in this version

The most noticeable change is the automatic Sparse to RAW conversion.
Earlier, creating a full dump from sparse firmware was a headache, and most tools only produced a bootable dump. Now, HMT converts it into a full functional dump that can be used directly after replacing memory or fixing a no-boot condition. This alone saves a lot of time.

The developers also improved the reading and writing speed. Large dumps feel lighter and process much faster.

Qualcomm support

Dump creation using Qualcomm firmware got much more accurate.
The tool reads the rawprogram.xml and patch.xml files, finds sector offsets automatically, and builds a dump mapped exactly like original firmware. It supports both multi-mode and single-mode workflows.

Samsung workflow

If you work on Samsung frequently, you’ll appreciate this update:

•  Auto PIT and CSC detection
• Automatic UFS/eMMC identification
• Creates eng_efs and eng_sec_efs to avoid baseband and bootloop trouble
• Validates CRC and signatures before writing
• Extract partitions safely and rebuild FlashFolder ready for JTAG or USB flashing

It handles GPT and MBR repairs nicely. Very stable in testing.

MediaTek improvements

Scatter analysis is more reliable now.
The tool reads offsets, checks values, and recalculates GPT automatically.
Supports A/B, Dynamic Super, and Sparse structures.

Flash-ready dump generation works well for both old and modern MTK devices.

OPPO / Realme specific

A new feature I liked is the reconstruction of super.img directly from official firmware.
Even encrypted OFP files are handled automatically.

Final opinion

If you work in advanced board repair or ISP/JTAG, this update feels like a solid upgrade.
It makes dump creation accurate, clean, and much faster.
For me, the sparse-to-raw conversion and Samsung EFS handling are the game changers.

A great tool, especially for shops handling dead-boot or memory jobs every day.
